Accessing DUAL Talk

DUAL Talk offer a low cost calling service designed to work with the Grandstream BudgeTone-100 and similar gateway devices.  You can be making high quality telephone calls from your ATA 186 in a few minutes from now.

  • Calling rates

    We offer three tariff and routing plans:

    - DUAL Talk Gold
    - DUAL Talk Silver
    - DUAL Talk LCR

    You can choose your tariff depending on your traffic profile and whether your priorities lie with low rates or high voice quality.

    We reward higher spending customers with discounts of between 5% and 19% determined by their spending levels.

    Reseller and wholesale customers with high volume can use our "DUAL Talk LCR" or "DUAL Talk Silver" tariffs and are eligible for discounts of up to 19% depending on volume.

DUAL Talk and the BudgeTone
DUAL Talk is a telephone calling service with specific support for the Cisco ATA 186 Voice over IP Gateway.  We offer the following features:
  • Very low calling rates.
  • High quality calls.
  • No monthly commitment; just pay as you go.
  • Online account management area.

Testing the BudgeTone with DUAL Talk
It is a good idea to check that your Grandstream Budge tone will work with DUAL Talk.   To do this, make the following configuration settings on your ATA 186 through the web interface:
  1. Connect to the administrative web page for the BudgeTone.
  2. Set the following parameters:
    • SIP Server:  sip.dualtalk.com
    • G723 rate:  6.3kbps encoding rate
    • SIP Registration:  No
    • NAT traversal:  No
    • Send Flash Event:  Yes
    • Click Apply.
    • Return to the configuration page and click Reboot.
  3. Make a test call by dialling 123.  You should hear a recorded announcement.
