• Volume discounts

  We reward higher spending customers on our "DUAL Talk Silver" and "DUAL Talk Gold" tariffs with discounts of between 5% and 25% depending on their spending levels.

• Wholesale rates

  Reseller and wholesale customers with high volume can use our "DUAL Talk LCR" or "DUAL Talk Silver" tariff.

  "DUAL Talk Silver" customers are eligible for discounts of up to 25 depending on volume.

Some gateways can also support pre-paid calling card applications through DUAL Talk.  In this mode, a caller is prompted for a card number and PIN.  You are able to generate rechargeable calling cards through DUAL Talk's reseller programme.

Quality

This gateway provides good voice quality through the use of the G.729 codec.

FAX

Limited fax is supported through the G.711 codec, but has a very high bandwidth requirement of 80 kbps when used for fax.  The gateway can be configured to use this higher bandwidth codec for all calls, or on a per-call basis using a dial prefix.

Calling card

This gateway does not support DUAL Talk calling cards.

Configuration

We may, at our discretion, remotely configure this gateway for operation on DUAL Talk.   Before we can do this, you will need to have connected the gateway to your network and to have performed any necessary port forwarding on your router so that we can reach the gateway's configuration web page.  Configuration guidelines are also available online.

Price

We do not supply this gateway.  It is available from a number of sources, and you can expect to pay approximately USD 100.

Quality

This gateway suffers from the same limitation as the Cisco ATA-186.  That is, it only has one G.729 resource available.  If you plan on using both ports, then you will need to disable the G.729 codec, in which case, calls will be made using the G.723.1 codec.  Although reasonable, call quality is slightly degraded when using the G.723.1 codec compared with the G.729 codec.
