| OpenPhone is freely available from www.openh323.org. The limitation of OpenPhone lies is in the
codecs that it supports, but if you can configure it to use G.723.1 or G.729, then you can
use OpenPhone to access DUAL Talk. |
|
|
- Make sure the IP address you use has been added to your DUAL Talk
account. If you did not add this address while setting up your account, then add
this IP address at the Access Methods area of My DUAL Talk; the online account management system.
- There are no special configuration requirements for OpenPhone. You just need to
specify the address of the DUAL Talk gateway when placing a call, which is gw1.dualtalk.com.
To place a call, select Call | Make Call from the main menu:

- Make sure that your DUAL Talk account has been configured for dynamic IP
addresses. If you did not do this while setting up your account, then set this
option now at the Access Methods area of My DUAL Talk; the online account management system.
- Select Options | Gatekeeper... from the main menu and configure
OpenPhone to use a gatekeeper at gk1.dualtalk.com.

- Select Options | General... from the main menu and add a new
alias name in the Aliases: box. The alias should be 1822 followed by your
DUAL Talk account number followed by your DUAL Talk password (emailed to you when you set
up your account). For example, if your account number is 200100 and your password is
900100, set the E164 alias to be 1822200100900100.
